Hi Aaron- I remember your catalog of bootleg concert tapes in the 80s. I used to get it from Kevin Crawford
Oh, man. Those were wild, C-90 filled days… You’re not a FBI agent, are you?

Aaron, You did a doodle for National Doodle Day charity which I purchased for my wife in May of 2010, as we are attending the show on the 9th of July in Seattle is there any chance we could get a photo of you and her with it?
Hey Man, You guys were awesome last night at the Croc Rock. Thank you for the picture after the show. I think you are an amazingly talented guitarist and have seen you with Matt about 5 times the last couple years. Keep on rocking hard man!
Thanks, Jordan! Great fun in Allentown, as always.
Do you foresee a Dante’s Grin reunion in the near future? Maybe a live show of Funny Clowny Lady?
Woah – blast from the past! I’m always up for Dante’s Grin reunions, though it’s been a decade or so since the last one. Have a nice deck that could support our combined weight? How are ya, Matthew?
hi Aaron, I read your tweet about obscure popnight in the van, with -amongst others – Daryll-Ann. I used to singer/guitarist/songwriter for that band and am very delighted to hear that stuff is being enjoyed in other parts of the world! I am solo now and recording in LA with Jason Falkner as we speak. If you’re interested check out the album I did with him in 2009.. http://snd.sc/yZNiZm thanks, anne
Cool – really great to hear from you, Anne! Excited to check out the newer stuff. Click the link, everyone…
I am glad to find out that you have had success. You were always very talented. And I loved the appearance on the Bachelor.
As for DG, do you keep in touch with the other guys? What are they up to?
All is well here. I am still in Boston; still doing the lawyer thing; still loving it.
Hello Aaron,
I am such a big fan of your music. You are a brilliant musician and writer.Your music is uplifting and inspiring.I was wondering if it would be possible to please receive your imprinted guitar picks?I would really appreciate it.Thank you dor your time and effort.
Sincerely,Amy
Thank you! I would be happy to send a pick your way, but it’ll cost you. But the price is only information. I’m curious what music of mine you find uplifting. It’s not usually my stock in trade but I’m glad to hear something is having a positive effect.
The world demands an Aaron Tap solo record…ok so maybe not demands, but certainly would be a nice surprise. Any plans on putting those sweet guitar riffs down with some original lyrics? I know Matt’s not the only song writer to come out of Lexington (although he’s now probably the hairiest, time to scale down the Wolverine look).
I’m thinking I might be about ready to cave to the world’s needs. But in the meantime, here are some albums I wrote and played on in the past that might fit the bill!
Break the Spell, Etc. – Boy Wonder
Slow Down – Matt MacKelcan
Nothing Was Proven – Betty Goo
Excellent! I shall review and share my feelings on behalf of the people of Earth. When is the next MA show? We Massholes love us some live sessions, particularly when the shaker makes an appearance.
Hello Aaron,
Paige here, I met you briefly after your set at The Varsity in Minneapolis with Joe Dunbar courting New Vintage Amps. I hope you are well and get to savor the not traveling so much aspect of your job at the moment.
Do you have any shows this week in LA or even feel the need to recommend any to me? I will be in North Hollywood starting Tuesday working on a few things and would love a little nighttime music to bless my ears.
Again, hope you are doing well and reading something fascinating. I remember you telling me you read quite a bit. “What is the What” is my current venture if you haven’t already. Quick read, but captivating.
Take Care,
Paige V.
I hope you remember the “good” old days Aaron….. although we were jamming to Cyprus Hill as you spun pizzas and Brent made salads — I was pretending to know how to cook over a grill at the Small P in Boston — handing Sam things to run out and Nico responsible for cleaning a lot of my mess
…. I was one of the lucky ones who heard you play on Chestnut Hill Ave and you nicely gave me a Dante’s Grin cassette which I listened to over and over. I went online now and found this website. Congratulations!!!! You were SO awesome back and I can only imagine how great you are now. I do hope to someday soon cross paths with you again — hopefully listening to you play live somewhere. I am glad you made it — you were so good back then. Even if it is not on the East Coast I am going to try and listen to you somewhere.
Be well.
Kevin OT
Oh, man, those were some good times – for real! Small Planet helped me pay for college and gave me a good outlet (and cause) for stress at the same time. Great to hear from ya and thanks much for the kind words. Those times with DG are irreplaceable. I play on the East Coast fairly often, so for ring my bell if you see me coming round. Plenty of stuff to hear online, too. Where are you these days? Still in the Boston area?
Definitely GREAT times Aaron. Helped me as well with college $$ even though I’m still in debt and probably caused food poisoning to a lot of Bostonians. Loved your mix tapes that you brought in — your DG and great 80′s music. Then there were the unfortunate mid/end-week Saulo tapes…. I am outside of Hartford CT (drag) and always think about going back to Boston… I am going looking now for on-line stuff and WILL see you live one day. THANKS for the reply!!!
